"Good deep girth, well balanced. Great presence with a lovely feminine head. High quality first foal from an active female line."

- Brett Howard

This Extreme Choice x Dahooil filly, is very athletic and a great mover. We are very excited to secure such a great physical type from the first crop of dual Group 1-winning sprinter Extreme Choice, from a female line which time and time again continues to produce outstanding fillies. She might be back at the Gold Coast in 2021 for the 2YO Classic!

"Training for Star Thoroughbreds is a delightful experience. From entry point through to a young horse's race career right up until his or her retirement, the Star team have a very well thought out system to look after their clients’ investment and the horse equally. Training for Star is a common sense approach where the horse comes first; we do the right thing by them and the investor continues to enjoy their involvement with us with anticipation of success on the racetrack, whilst creating new friendships with their racing partners. Denise and her team ensure that racing with Star is absolutely a 5 star experience."
- Chris Waller

A dual Group 1 winner as a 2YO and 3YO, Extreme Choice is the highest rated juvenile colt from the Redoute’s Choice sire line. By leading stallion Not a Single Doubt, sire of 69 stakes winners, 11 at Group 1 level including 2019 Spring Carnival stars Samadoubt and Scales of Justice. Extreme Choice was a brilliant racehorse who was victorious in the time honoured 2YO Group 1, the MRC Blue Diamond (1200m) (earning a 124 Timeform rating) and then as a 3YO when he defeated the likes of Chautauqua, Redzel and Buffering in the Group 1 MVRC AJ Moir Stakes (1000m), cementing his reputation as the star sprinter of his generation. Due to poor fertility, Extreme Choice has small crop sizes with only 49 live foals from this first crop, so it was exciting to secure such a smart filly by him.

The first foal of Dahooil, by O’Reilly, Champion NZ Sire (4 times) and Champion NZ Broodmare Sire (2 times). A $340,000 yearling, Dahooil (trained by Chris Waller) was just starting to hit her straps, winning at Warwick Farm at her fifth start, when injury halted her career. She is a sister to Listed Race winner Bonny O’Reilly (sold for $1.2 million in 2019, pictured), and a half-sister to recent NZ Listed Race winner Pretty To Sea. A great fillies family, it has also produced Glamour Puss (Gr.1), Savvy Coup (Gr.1), Steps In Time (Gr.1), Rare Insight (Gr.2), Acting (2019 Gr.2), etc.

Situated near Gresford in the NSW Hunter Valley, this boutique stud prides itself on breeding champions. Torryburn Stud consistently turns out strong thoroughbreds with a first-class graduate record which includes Group 1 winning mare Dixie Blossoms (2019 Coolmore Classic) and Hong Kong sprint star Hot King Prawn.
