The classy colt by Shooting to Win was purchased at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale for $250,000. He was prepared by boutique nursery Two Bays Farm.

Kubrick was a top-class 2-year-old, unbeaten in his first two starts and runner up in the Group 1 JJ Atkins Plate.

The son of Shooting to Win placed fourth and fifth in the Group 2 Run to the Rose and Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes in his 3-year-old campaign, finishing behind Bivouac, Yes Yes Yes and Exceedance both times.

He won by a length in the inaugural $1 million Randwick feature, the Bondi Stakes, and has now won over $800,000 in prizemoney.

"“It's amazing what good horses can do. He accelerated away like a top-class colt.""
