A beautifully strong colt by exciting first season sire Kermadec, this colt was purchased from the Westbury Stud draft of the New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale.
He is from a three-quarter sister to the brilliant Golden Slipper and Newmarket Handicap winner Belle de Jour, still one of the most memorable winners of the Golden Slipper in modern history. His dam is also a half-sister to Group 1 winner Perfectly Ready.
"I'm very proud to train the Star Thoroughbreds' horses. Denise and her team select quality horses at the sales and their race track success is testament to the work they do to find the best possible yearlings at the right price. The 2019 Star collection is another group of very exciting prospects."- Chris Waller, January 2019
A brilliant winner of the Group 1 Doncaster Mile as a three-year-old, Kermadec returned at four to take out the Group 1 George Main Stakes. The strikingly handsome son of Teofilo was trained by Chris Waller to earn almost $3 million in prizemoney. This colt is from his first crop.
Dam La Parfaite was a winner over 1100m and is also the dam of five-time winner The Big Labrownski. She is a three-quarter sister to outstanding Golden Slipper winner Belle De Jour (pictured) and a half-sister to Group 1 winner Perfectly Ready.
This colt was bred and sold by Westbury Stud, an exceptional nursery based in Karaka. Top graduates sold by Westbury include Bonneval - a three-time Group 1 winner, Oaks winner Imposing Lass, NZ Oaks winner Miss Mossman and Doomben 10,000 winner Music Magnate.
